[0:06] how to identify the keywords that
bring traffic to your competition.

[0:33] Okay, so this is Position Explorer tool
by Ahrefs, and this is the tool that
[0:40] can show you the keywords that your
competition is ranking for and the
[0:44] keywords that actually bring SEO traffic
to your competition.
[0:49] You can find it in the main menu
at the top of Ahrefs' website.
[0:54] And now let's actually see how it works.
[0:57] Since here at Ahrefs, we have
a nice blog about SEO and marketing,
[1:02] I usually spy on other blogs in this niche
[1:04] to see what keywords they rank for
and which keywords bring traffic to them.
[1:10] So let's put in one of these blogs and
see what kind of traffic they get.
[1:15] And in this tutorial, I'm going to be spying on
the blog of my friend Gael, that is
[1:22] called authorityhacker.com.
[1:28] So as you can see, the Position Explorer tool has
[1:31] found almost 2,000 keywords that this
blog is ranking for in the US
[1:37] and almost 300 keywords that it ranks for in the UK.
[1:41] And to see the exact report with the
[1:45] keywords that this blog is ranking for, I
go to organic keywords report within the
[1:51] organic research section of the menu.
[1:55] And that's it! This is how easy it is to find
[1:58] almost all the keywords that a certain
site is ranking for in Google.
[2:04] And as you can see, by default, this report
[2:06] is ordered by the traffic column, which
[2:10] gives an estimate of how much traffic
this site is getting from Google for
[2:15] this specific keyword, but you can pretty
much click on almost any of the columns
[2:21] and reorder the list by the metric that
is interesting to you.
[2:26] And here's the fun thing that I have found in this report.
[2:30] As you can see, Authorityhacker.com is
[2:33] ranking number 5 for Ahrefs; for our
branded keyword.
[2:39] And here I can see that the page that ranks for this
[2:41] keyword, is actually a review of our tool set.
[2:46] And actually, I highly recommend you
read this review because Gael went
[2:52] really in-depth and published quite a
few great videos that explains how to
[2:58] work with Ahrefs tools.
[3:01] Okay, let's get back to position explorer report.
[3:04] As you can see, pretty much the same situation
is with Buzzstream's branded keyword.
[3:11] Gael ranks, again number five for it and again
this is a bustering review which leads
[3:17] me to thinking that Gael has a strategy
of writing awesome big tool reviews and
[3:25] then getting traffic from their branded keywords.
[3:29] So how cool is that?
[3:30] It took me only a few minutes to uncover an awesome
content marketing strategy that Gael is
[3:37] using on his blog, authorityhacker.com.
[3:40] He's writing big reviews of popular tools
[3:43] and then gets traffic for their
branded keywords because his reviews
[3:47] seem to rank very high in Google.
[3:49] And this is the exact reason why I love the
[3:52] Position Explorer tool so much.
[3:56] It can give you a lot of insights about the
[3:58] ways that your competition is getting
traffic from Google.
[4:02] I'm sure once you plug a few of your own
[4:05] competitors into this tool and play with the reports,
[4:10] you're going to love this tool just as much as I do.
