周日早上好，心情有点糟糕。
今天来看慎小嶷老师的《十天突破新托福Essays》，速成是不可能的，但看看他们学习的方法论总是好的，一是他们是多年的托福写作讲师，积累了许多经验；二是以著书的视角，系统了解一些如何应对托福写作考试。
扎实的美语写作功底，以及对美国社会的适当了解，就是新托福写作考察的核心，也是新托福写作教师必须帮学生有效突破的瓶颈。
第一天：
新旧托福的话题大类有education, technology, media, success, work, government, friends, old-young, transportation, environment, money, leisure, family, animals, food.
对于新托福写作来说，最好的模板只是一个在考场里帮你控制逻辑的合理框架，而不是充满大词、200多单词长、每句空话的“凑字儿”工具。

第二天：
Independent writing is not really independent. You'll constantly need a variety of resources to help you proceed.

裸奔词头（streec-streak）

第三天：
坚决压缩冗余词
语法七宗罪
可数名词永远不能单独使用
主语很长就一定要检查谓语单复数
修饰形容词或动词用副词
动词搭配合适介/副词（reason for）
代词距离名词比较远时就要看它的单复数
两套主谓宾在句首和句中都没有连接词肯定是病句
there be 句型后面的名词再加动词时不要用原形 (建议彻底丢弃这个句型）

已经很晚了，今天暂时看一半，明天继续。
最大的感受是，写作其实不难，在华丽句型和高端词汇后面，严密的逻辑和充实内容才是最重要的。前者大学四六级基本可以搞定，后者却是GRE程度的思考。
下面进入正题。

还有一个短语：

overhype: 炒作，夸大
后面but是个连词，应该再连接个句子，但其实仔细看是没有的，是因为省略掉了 does not think so.

这三个都非常合适放在开头，加as做从句，后面加when做主句。

这个句型描述态度转变的。
