析经济学人，习高分作文/07

做学生就多考分，做成人就多挣钱，这样尊严才可以多一点。

——我离托福考试只剩19天。

周一早上好，新的一周开始了，总结下上周收获，列下周目标清单，人生的美好需要继续奋斗。

今天我们用连岳的文章，来谈谈学英语的方法。

正如外语学习大师 Pimsleur 博士所说：学习外语能使人的生活更丰富，不仅体现在学成以后，更在学习过程中。学习外语可激励一个人，使他更有目的地行动，学外语是缓慢的但有趣的远足。

我同意他的所有观点，还想补充的是，学外语也能训练一个人延缓满足的能力，毕竟，从开始学，到有所成，隔着几年时间。延缓满足能力，有利于你做任何事，是成功人士的标配。

当对一件事过于强调其重要性时，许多人会产生厌恶感，比如金钱，比如英语。我不知道是不是有人特意撒播负面信息，总会有许多人认为金钱不重要，学不学没必要。即使我和两三个好友认真讨论过，也没人拿它太当回事，最后究其本质时，就是一个字：懒。

不管是战略战术上虚假的勤奋，还是永远坚持不下来，那些没领略过语言的边界的，终生被限制在里面。

我希望你富足，金钱只是其表现结果，原因还在追求和努力的精神，而学习是最好的体现方式，外语水平则是最经济最划算的一门技能。

一个英文老师不好，英文考试制度不合理，这都有可能激怒我们，结果是我们放弃了一种最有力的知识工具。英文老师和考试制度都活得好好的，受害最深的却是我们自己，我们发泄了愤怒，却帮助他人捆绑了自己，这其实是不智之举。

我可以从多出资料中引出学英语的大大好处，也能帮你找来学习资料和方法，但是行动永远在你，即使你是我亲弟，即使你是我好友。

在朋友相处中，我慢慢总结出两条原则：

我对你永远有时间和足够耐心

会不惜成本分享我认为足够美好的东西

当然我的耐心，目前表现在非常多的话，因为对其他人，一般保持沉默；我认为的美好，可能你会不耐烦，所以我就在推荐语之后止步，其他的事情，还是要靠你自己完成。

这才是自主掌控的美好人生。

学英文笨功夫逃不掉，给自己定个十年的计划吧，即使要从狂背了几千常用词开始，然后进行阅读英文原作。

练习听力的材料到处都是，即使边走边听，周而复始，听个四五十来遍，也能慢慢积攒对一门语言的感觉。

这么慢慢磨啊磨吧，时间一天天过去，无论情绪有何起伏，也不管发生什么，天天都花一些时间在英文上，它就不再是负担，反而像是打坐、饮茶和长跑一样让人开心的仪式。

下面进入正题。

其实大部分短语搭配，我们读到的时候，是觉得非常简单的，但是在写作时，很难想起这样的表达。

The needs of almost everyone are met by the market perfectly.

resign 是辞职的意思

- - be resigned to doing

安于做...，使自己顺从于

固定搭配，注意to是介词

分成两方面的词汇： 

on one hand, on the other hand

on the negative side, on the positive side

bedger: try to make someone do something by asking them many times
        

pester: keep annoying someone, especially by asking them for something or asking them to do something

这两个是一组近义词，在同一段话中使用。

That many readers familiar with the much-maligned Asia pivot of Barack Obama will not have heard of Mr Putin's hints at a gap between rhetoric and substance.

hint: say what you are thinking or feeling in an indirect way

句式结构上，that 后面的是主语从句；

句型积累上，hint at a gap between....

rhetoric: a style of speaking or writing that is intended to impress people but is not honest

substance:  the fact that something is based on accurate information

今日总结：
